Ugh

Gas has been holding steady at $3.59 for about 2 weeks. Whole milk was $3.90 last I checked. Double Ugh.

Too Much

After working late last night and then getting up early to take 4 kids to the roller skating rink for a Girl Scout party, a mega-couponing trip to the dollar store, and a visit to the sportsmans' club, I came home to a kitchen full of dishes and no where to cook supper. The whole time I am trying to clean up and start supper, FL is hollering her trademark catchphrase of "MOOOOoooom, I'm HUNGRY! Fix me a whole plate of food!" I was completely fed up at this point and yelled, "I'm sorry, it's taking me a while to clean up all this CRAP you guys have left everywhere." FL, in her usual quick comeback mode, says,"Then there should be 5 of you." Finally, someone who agrees with me.

Mid-Winter Summer Dream

I got tired of dreaming of summer, so I dug thru the freezer to find strawberries I picked last year. And I made some quick freezer jam. Nothing makes you forget the snow like eating a piece of warm bread with homemade jam on top. Please forgive the short post, I have to go eat some more jam.

Son CGP was telling us about his English class. He was trying to explain about a picture of some Mexican people in his textbook. FL immediately pops up and screams, "WHY was there a picture of Mexican people in your ENGLISH book? Why wasn't it a picture of English people?"



How does one reply to that?
